Who you’re dealing with
Pauseidon is made by Adam Wills, an individual developer trading as Adam Wills Development (“I” and “me” below). These terms cover downloading, trying, buying and using Pauseidon, and using this website. By installing or using Pauseidon, you agree to them.
Buying
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Pauseidon costs $10 USD, once. There’s no subscription. Paddle may add sales tax or VAT depending on where you are, and shows the total before you pay. Your purchase is also covered by Paddle’s buyer terms.
Free trial
You can use every feature free for 7 days. After that, you’ll need a licence to keep using it. There’s one trial per Mac.
Your licence
When you buy Pauseidon, I give you a personal licence to use it. That means:
- All your Macs. Use it on every Mac you personally use. There are no activation limits.
- Every 1.x update is free. If there’s ever a version 2.0, owners of 1.x can upgrade at a discount, and anyone who bought in the 12 months before it gets it free.
- It’s yours, not transferable. The licence is for you. It can’t be resold, shared publicly, or passed on to someone else.

The licence lets you use Pauseidon; it doesn’t sell you the software itself. Please don’t:
- resell, rent or redistribute Pauseidon or your licence;
- publish or share licence keys, or get around the licence or trial checks;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify it, except where the law allows you to regardless of these terms;
- use it to break the law.
Refunds
If Pauseidon isn’t for you, you can have a full refund within 30 days of buying it, no questions asked. See the refund policy. A refund ends your licence.
Updates and betas
Pauseidon checks pauseidon.com for a new version once a day, and you choose whether to install it. Beta versions are early builds for testing: they’re provided as they are, and may have bugs. Beta testers get a free licence when Pauseidon goes on sale.
Privacy
Pauseidon has no accounts, analytics or tracking. The privacy page lists everything the app and this site send, and to whom.
No warranty, and limits on liability
I work hard to make Pauseidon reliable, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and my total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Pauseidon. None of this takes away rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
Ending
You can stop using Pauseidon at any time; the help page explains how to remove it. Your licence ends if you get a refund or if you seriously break these terms.
Changes, law and contact
I may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and a purchase is covered by the terms in place when you made it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without taking away the protection of the consumer laws of the country you live in.
